Christopher A. Marks

Christopher A. Marks passed away unexpectedly at East Jefferson General Hospital on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the age of 62. He resided in Metairie, Louisiana, and grew up in Chalmette, LA. He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Mary Ann Bosco Marks; his loving daughter, Brandi Marks Theard (David) and three grandchildren, Jack David, Alex Claire, and Evan Joseph Theard. He is also survived by his sisters, Cynthia Marks and Cheryl Marks Ward (Donald); brother Carl Marks (Rachel); sister-in-law Carolyn Bosco Browning (Michael) and brother-in-law, Gil Bosco (the late Gay Gleason Bosco); and six nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Oswald Arthur Marks, Jr. and Marianne Ledet Marks; nephew, Michael Anthony Browning. Chris graduated from Brother Martin High School as the first all Martin Class of 1973. He attended Tulane University and University of Lafayette and retired after many years as a Senior Designer of oilrigs. He was an avid golfer and football fan but playing with his grandchildren daily was his true joy in life. Chris was a faithful parishioner of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a funeral mass on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans.
