Thomas to Play Football at ULL
Nathan Thomas, a CHS student athlete, recently signed his National Letter of Intent to play football for the University of Louisiana, Lafayette. As an early signing commitment, Nathan can graduate in January from Chalmette High School and enroll in college next semester to begin the next phase of his student-athlete career. A former band standout, Nathan played both music and football during his time at CHS. Nathan plans to use his passion for math in his pursuit of an engineering degree. CHS Head Coach Jason Tucker called Nathan "a good football player and a great person.
" "We are proud of Nate and know he will represent all of us here at Chalmette well. He's smart, a hard worker, and listens well. I think he has a really bright future."Nathan was quick to thank his teachers and coaches for their support and help. "Whether it was the classroom or the weight room, my teachers and coaches have always been there for me."
