St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office sobriety checkpoint results in several arrests
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Sept. 3 in Arabi in conjunction with the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over National Enforcement Mobilization Campaign.
During the checkpoint, officers stopped vehicles to check for impaired drivers, which resulted in several arrests.
Rene Washington, 27, of Founder Court in New Orleans, was booked with three counts of attempted murder on a peace officer, aggravated flight from an officer, resisting an officer by flight, criminal trespassing, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of Alprazolam, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
