Leger appointed to New Orleans Port Board
Prominent St. Bernard Parish native and attorney Walter Leger Jr. was announced last week as the latest appointee to the Port of New Orleans’ Board of Commissioners.
Leger was tapped by Gov. John Bel Edwards for a five-year term on the seven-member board beginning this month. Like all port commissioners, he will pull double-duty as a commissioner for the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad.
