Chalmette man arrested for inappropriate contact with Jefferson Parish students
A Chalmette man who taught at a Jefferson Parish elementary school was arrested last week on two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles.
Anthony Prejean, 36, was arrested April 25 by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office for manipulating two 8-yearold students into “inappropriate contact” at Live Oak Manor Elementary School in Waggaman between August 2018 and March 2019. Prejean resigned his position as a physical education teacher at the school March 29 and turned himself in to JPSO in the presence of his attorney last week.
