Cavignac leads council push against CPRA diversions

The St. Bernard Parish Council passed a joint resolution to lodge formal objections against the Coastal Protection and Restoration Association’s (CPRA) 2015 fiscal year projects, which include three controversial large-scale freshwater diversions. The resolutions, passed in conjunction with four committees in the Louisiana State legislature, will give St. Bernard and other coastal parishes political leverage in preventing CPRA from going forward with these projects.
