The art exhibit “Migration” was unveiled on Saturday, November 18 at the Crevasse 22 | River House in Poydras. With the intrusion of salt water caused in part by ocean rise due to climate change, the habitat of freshwater bird species are being threatened.
The Knights of Columbus Archbishop Rummel Council #5747 in conjunction with the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Chalmette provided 106 St. Bernard families with a full Thanksgiving meal on Monday, November 20. A total of 10 baskets were also donated to the residents at the St.
Kindergarten Students at Arlene Meraux Elementary School celebrated Thanksgiving with a Feast! Parents were invited and many joined their children for a Lunch Feast to celebrate being thankful. Students enjoyed turkey sandwiches, cornbread stuffi ngs, corn, macaroni, and many desserts.

Southern Services & Equipment, Inc. in St. Bernard celebrated SteelDay by having a Breakfast with a Fabricator & Facility Tour on Friday, September 15.

From September 15-17, the Chalmette WOW Cafe & Wingery accepted donations for Deputies Ryan Laylle and Justin Topey who were critically injured in an ATV accident last week.
