Last Week Shenanigans

Body
Some would say you gain experience by making mistakes (unless it’s the same ones over and over again). MeMerriam-Webster says Experience is a 'direct observation of or participation in events as a basis of knowledge.' Having participated in and observed many, many political campaigns over the last five decades, one thing you should always expect is that the losing candidate/campaign will start attacking during the very last week in a desperate attempt to change voters’ minds.

POINT OF VIEW

Body
I may do something I swore I would never do! But more on that later… TheLouisianaInternational terminal (LIT) remains a major issue for residents of St. Bernard. If it comes into existence, our parish as we know it disappears. A recent court decision by the Fourth Circuit Appeal Court affirmed a decision rendered by a lower court relating to this port. Save Our St. Bernard (SOS) appealed this decision and the Appeals Court sided with the lower court. The SOS case is NOT dismissed, it is merely being delayed until such time as the Port of New Orleans completes its permitting process.
