Smitty’s Tire began operation in 1973 in St. Bernard Parish, located originally in Violet. Cola Long purchased Smitty’s Tire and operated the business with his son-in-law, Anthony Cuccia. Soon, Anthony was full-time operator and manager of the business and decided to relocate to Meraux where the new location would make it more accessible to a larger customer base.

Along with 104 of his colleagues from across Louisiana, Mike Bayham was sworn in as State Representative for District 103 on Monday, January 8 in the State Capitol ‘s House of Representatives chamber.
