For most of us, a dog is a family member. They’re  our loyal companions who share our homes and never judge our indiscretions. But for some, like military veteran Michael Giovingo, a dog is morethan just man’s best friend; it’s freedom.

St. Bernard Parish school and district leaders joined together on July 20th and July 21st to kickoff the new school year.  Superintendent Doris Voitier welcomed leaders back Monday morning. She began by celebrating theprevious year’s successes and then quickly set the tone for the 2015-2016 school year.

Lucy Mutz

Lucy Mutz passed away on March 16, 2015 at the age of 92. A native of New Orleans, LA, she was the daughter of Stella Cegretto and Alvin Lindbergh.



Last Saturday, the Arlene and Joseph Meraux CharitableFoundation dedicated the Dave Thompson  Event Barn in honor of Mr.  Thompson’s 65 years of service  to the Meraux family and the community.
