On Thursday, February 4, Nunez Community College held its Annual King Cake Extravaganza. The Extravaganza is a competition for Nunez culinary students as well as a chance for the public to taste what these aspiring chefs have to offer. This event has taken place annually at Nunez Community College since 1992, with the exception of 2005.

Recently the Kindergarteners at Joseph Davies celebrated 100 days of school. Students dressed up to show what they would look like at 100 years old. Pictured from left: Cecillia Marchese, Brielle Montelongo, Kaidence Siener and Marlei McCloskey. See page 14 to see how the first graders celebrated!

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Friends of Southeast Louisiana Refuges will be hosting a spring day camp for children ages 8-10. The day camp will run Monday, March 28 through Friday, April 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
